Tribute to Jim Emsley

Jim Emsley was a very important supporter of me, in particular at the early stages of my career. Due to his important role in the British NMR community and worldwide this helped me a lot, in particular during the period when the “old” NMR spectroscopists in Germany did not understand my experiments and consequently did not appreciate them.
